The role of a Personal Care Assistant is to provide individualized support and care to individuals with disabilities, age related health issues, or chronic conditions. To assist elderly folks needing assistance, including those with mental health disorders, with their activities of daily living. They also aid clients with post hospitalization needs. Their goal is to promote independence while providing companionship and trust.

Our caregivers are also trained and certified in:

  • Alzheimer’s Care
  • Dementia Care
  • Hospice Care
  • Care of the client needing post-surgical assistance
  • Care of a disabled client

Daily Duties

  • Assist with personal care e.g. (bathing, Perineal care, mouth care, skin care)
  • Meal preparation
  • Feeding
  • Assist with mobility
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Practice and promote safety
  • Communicate with health care team, report and document any changes in client’s condition
  • Communicate with family members
  • Driving errands
  • Help with bill payments
  • Transport to appointments

Personal Care Assistants can be employed for hourly care or live in positions.

We offer classes Monday – Friday and weekends.
24-hour class (3) days
Cost: $199.00
